Apple bread is made with cinnamon, nutmeg and diced apples. This bread is delicious topped with an apple cider drizzle frosting. Perfect treat for the fall!

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 4 eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup oil
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- ⅓ cup water
- 2 cups diced apples
- Frosting- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- Cider
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg in large bowl, set aside.
- Beat eggs and oil, then add vanilla.
- Add flour mixture to liquids, ⅓ at a time, alternating with water, mix well.
- Fold in diced apples.
- Grease two large loaf pans.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Test with toothpick- may need another few minutes to bake.
- Frosting- Mix confectioners sugar with cider and vanilla until desired consistency.
- Drizzle over top of cooled apple bread.
Notes
To keep bread from browning, lightly cover with greased foil for the last ten minutes of baking.
